Мета: Ознайомити учнів з новою лексикою теми, активізувати вивчену лексику та практикувати її вживання, повторити граматичний матеріал (минулий неозначений час ), розвивати навички діалогічного мовлення, читання, розвивати пам’ять, мовленнєву реакцію, здогадку, виховувати культуру спілкування, пізнавальний інтерес до вивчення англійської мови.Обладнання: малюнки видів транспорту, кросворд, таблиця розкладу руху, роздавальний матеріал для роботи в парах та групах , лото «Неправильні дієслова».

T: Read the word in bold type ( train ). You are right! So, today we shall speak about travelling by train. You will learn new words, read the text and make up dialogues about travelling. Also you will work in groups.

T ( shows the pictures ): This is a train. This is an engine. This is an engine-driver. The engine-driver drives the train. The train stops at the railway station. These are passengers. They are going to travel by train. They must hurry up and come in time or they can miss the train. The engine-driver doesn’t wait for the passengers. He gives the whistle and the train starts.
Open your vocabularies and write down the words:
engine-driver – машиніст;
railway station – залізничний вокзал;
passenger – пасажир;
to miss – запізнитися;
to wait – чекати.
